One of the most frustrating parts of job searching is when recruiters or hiring managers engage personally and show genuine interest, only for the process to end with an automated rejection email. The inconsistency is unsettling.

As someone who has worked in recruiting, I always believed that if you personally open the door, you should personally close it. I understand automation at large companies, but consistency and basic professionalism matter.

The volume makes it hard, but that's not the candidate's problem. If you had time to have a conversation with them, you should make time to send a two sentence email. It's a basic human courtesy that requires next to no effort.

I have felt this too and it is unsettling. When someone builds rapport then disappears behind automation, it feels careless. I think consistency matters more than speed, especially in

That is a great point. You have a personal connection until you no longer serve their needs. It also shuts the door on the possibility of working together again in the future.

I agree. Phone interview went well, and the recruiter was impressed with the answers and shared the same sentiments on my approach toward improving efficiencies and solutions to drive the company forward and the next thing I get after a month without any communication to my follow up emails is a rejection. Come to find out an internal hire was made-based off of my ideas and my duties performed at a previous employer.

No believe me. This happens to me all the time. I understand your frustration. However, I’ve started to see it as karma and payback because when I’ve been in a position to hire people, I did the same thing.

Hi! I’m doing some research on employee benefits (medical insurance, 401k, HSA/FSA, commuter benefits) and was hoping to connect with People specialists or HR professionals in the comp & benefits space. I’m trying to better understand any pain points or challenges you might face with utilization/enrollment. Anyone interested in connecting? Thank you!

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

Hello all! I am looking for a job in finance/investments, but I’m having trouble attracting attention from employers. I have a finance degree from UGA, but all of my experience (3.5 years) is in sales (tech and real estate), so no relevant internships unfortunately. Any advice on how to market myself better and where I should be looking would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Fishes,

I got interviewed at infosys two days back.
When can I expect to hear back from them.
Also all the questions that were asked to me were written coding questions(Write block of code) none were verbal.I could write all answers but none was 100% correct.

At last I asked the interviewer about feedback as in where was I wrong. He said at couple of places and he explained me where was I wrong.

Do you all think I will be rejected?

I received an email from the HR at Monitor Deloitte that I've cleared the case round and a back to back discussion with partner and director of the team will be scheduled. Been almost 3 days since this email, haven't received asking for availability from the scheduling team. This for a role with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. How long do they typically take to schedule the final round of discussions? Do they eliminate candidates in this round?

First time posting here! I have been tasked with creating a military leave differential pay policy and was curious if anyone would be willing to provide any resources. Thanks!

I joined a project that had already started and the team already settled on creating a user journey map, even though none of them are designers or in ux. I also have no experience in this field as I'm a data engineer. The user journey map was for mapping out the process for tenants finding housing assistance, so not a technical product. Given this new field and type of work, I've been having a really tough time. Anyone mind sharing what helped get you through your first ux project?

Is it wise to switch from testing background to Salesforce after 10 years of IT experience? If so should I start as an admin?
