I experienced far less imposter syndrome after leaving my last company. The work environment there was so toxic that I constantly felt like nothing I did was good enough. Since starting at my new company, I’ve experienced almost none of that self-doubt.

That resonates so much. It’s wild how quickly imposter syndrome quiets down when the environment stops constantly signaling that you’re not enough. It really shows how much culture shapes our self-talk.
Having a boss who is actually supportive was the biggest reason I stopped being so negative. How long did it take for anyone who got out? It wasn’t immediate, probably 3 months before I felt like I was out of survival mode.

That’s so true. It really can happen gradually, almost quietly. You adapt, normalize it, tell yourself it’s just a busy season or just a tough team… and then one day you’re out and realize how much tension you were carrying.
I think that’s the hardest part. When you’re in it, you’re surviving. When you’re out of it, you can finally see it. Paying attention to how your body feels, how you talk to yourself, and whether you feel safe being honest are usually the earliest signals.
