Depends on what's in the summary.
"Dedicated and ambitious Account Executive with a strong track record closing high value deals and exceeding quotas" - No thanks.
"Consultative Account Executive with an 8 year track record closing $1M+ ARR deals across Supply Chain and HealthTech looking for ...." - Yes
Unfortunately, the first example is the MOST frequent to come across a recruiter's desk. Its not valuable or helpful in any capacity. If anything, it just makes us not want to read the rest. It should be a hook! What's unique about you and what value do you bring? What have you achieved that is relevant to my business and this role?

I honestly think think a professional summary is a great tool on a resume! It’s a nice way to quickly highlight your key skills and what you bring to the table. at the same time, if you’re short on space or have a strong work experience section, it’s totally fine to skip it. Just depends on what works for your particular resume!
Yes, a professional summary is good to include. But make it concise and have it be things that will capture someone's attention. Resumes are glanced at before they're read closely, so it's vitally important to grab attention.
