Q1 has been an interesting start of the year. There seems to be an influx of "fake" job postings, especially on LinkedIn. Along with what seems to be a saturated market in the Tech Industry.

I’m in a sales support role and almost always receive very positive feedback in my 1:1 meetings with my bosses and during my more formal year end reviews, but I can’t help but feel like I’m stuck or I’m missing something that’s stopping me from getting to the next level. Would love any general advice on showing I’m ready to be promoted beyond sharing my desire to be when the situation is appropriate. Thanks!

My temp contract has been extended. I’m relieved to be able to pay the bills, but after giving 70-80 shots a day, I literally dream about giving vaccines almost every night! Struggling to keep positive about finding a new permanent job - I was laid off at the end of April, have applied to over 60 jobs, had 6 interviews, and no offers. I can’t go back to chain retail - it damn near broke me in my 20’s, and it’s much worse now.

Please, I need your opinion on this. I have 6 years of experience as a software developer and just finished my masters degree in data science. Now I am looking for a job here in the US. I went through the hiring process with this company and finally got an offer. They offered 88k/year and I responded opening a negotiation. Should I leave my first permanent job as a team leader of 4 DPs in a FMCG business (only been there for 4 months) to join a huge Tech business for a 12months contract?

They offer me 60% more money than my permanent role. Circa 2000 dollars every month in my pocket

However, I am worried if I accept the tech role and I do not become permanent I will be looking again for a job in 12-24 months and my CV won't be showing a managerial position. Won't be showing any progress.

I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

As an junior UX designer, should I use the remaining months of this year to refine my portfolio as it seems there’s only rarely job postings for my level? I’ll apply when I feel it’s right regardless, but I’m wondering if more opportunities will come up late this year/early next year?
