This is a thing??
Yes! I came across one this only once. A firm in Seattle was looking for an Paralegal that would have to be of assistance for Trial. They also have offices in Miami, Chicago & Atlanta. You would have to travel to what offices needed you most for Trial.

Most are now virtual, but still may travel for trials in other states and jurisdictions.

Most of the time. Not always, but mostly.

It’s not necessarily a “traveling paralegal” but more so a trial paralegal. It’s usually senior paralegals who work their way up in a specific practice group. Find your niche and put in the time. Express interest in trial prep and attendance.
thank you!
I’d only do this if you have a lot of experience with trials and thus know what you’re getting into. I did this for many years and while the OT was great, it was exhausting & draining to be expected to be available 24/7 most months of the year while at the trial site.
Hi! I guess I would be considered "traveling" since I'm on Contract. I'm at a new firm weekly or longer. It depends on the leave requested or help needed by the firm. I wish it was more glamorous like traveling nurses though. Anyways, I'm in Dallas, Texas making $30/hour with no paralegal degree/certification or law firm experience (I have an unrelated BS). It's my first year of transitioning into my second career choice... Attorney! I'm currently studying for the LSAT. I'm definitely not excited to have to take that test again. Ugh!
