At 7 am I wake my kids up and get them ready for daycare at about 8:30, then I’m in the car to the office, at the office by 9…
At 5:30 pm I’m having dinner with my kids
At 7:30 pm I’m on the floor with my kids reading books
If I need to jump on from 10 to midnight or even 1 (rare), I will.
It’s all about figuring out a schedule that works for you as you get more senior.

Honestly, as a VP/MD, work-life balance can be tough to maintain with all the responsibilities, but it does get more manageable with time. You learn to set boundaries, delegate more, and prioritize. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely possible to find a healthier balance if you work hard at it.
You get more flexibility. I’ve found that I need to be much more plugged in (you are go-to contact for clients), but more of my work can be done from my phone
