Quick question about applying to a Tech sales job at a top company (like MSFT, IBM, Apple, etc.). What is truly the best resume format to use nowadays? Not just to get past the ATS but just in general I'm wondering what top candidates are including and the format. For example are graphics, columns being used, as well as the left-sided formatting? Thanks in advance for guidance

I’ve been wondering the same while job hunting in tech sales. From what I’ve seen, clean and simple still wins. I use PDFs with a one-column format, no graphics, with clear bullet points on impact + metrics. ATS-friendly first, then I tweak visuals if I’m handing it to a human directly.

I agree, keep it simple. I do a first section paragraph with a concise description of me and what I'm looking for in my next career. Then do the block of key words so you'll come up in a search (i.e. account management, negotiation, etc). Then I jump right into experience, volunteering, and education/professional certifications. I definitely don't do anything fancy with graphics...I don't think that helps IMO

For a top Producer of 3 years, is it appropriate to now ask for a raise in my base pay? Base was 42,500 when I started, but now inflation + 2 children later the base pay barely gets me by. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

I need some advice. I have some co workers that are really disgruntled and complain about their jobs a lot to me. It really bring me down and makes it hard for me to work because I get constant messages about how much they hate it here. I’m friends with them outside of work so I don’t want to explode on them. What do you recommend I do/say to them? I want our friendship to last but I can’t stand how they talk right now. And honestly some of their bitching is valid but some isn’t imo.
