We got a pretty white washed version in our history classes. We were taught the civil rights movement was just Rosa Parks on a bus and some sit-ins at a diner.

The way people react to marches today, they would definitely have opposed the way black people made their voices heard back then.

Some of the judgemental responses to OPs question are exactly the problem with the left. Not everyone who voted republican is a racist. Many of us are very supportive of all races, but doesn't mean we support a welfare socialist state because we believe in hard work, economic policy and American fairness. PM1 — I understand those are valid reasons to vote Republican. If it were any other Republican candidate, I’d likely support them over Biden.

However Trump only brags about helping the American people with not much to show for it. His greatest skill has been over promising and under delivering. It’s how he runs his businesses and treats his investors.
