Two of our students were killed today in a shooting, another two are in the hospital. Last week a student was killed in a different shooting. Admin barely acknowledged. How do we help our kids?

How to constructively talk about the long term future with SO? We (both 26) have been together 6 years with the last 3 as LDR. We are supposed to be moving in together over the summer, but given she is moving across state lines I don’t think this should be a light decision. It’s reaching the point that if we don’t move in I don’t think we should continue dating and I also don’t want her to move in without talking in detail about core relationship topics (marriage, finances, etc).

I've been dating this girl for 9mo and dtr'ed 5mo ago. She hides me from her family. For ex, we had plans for me to go to her place but something popped up and her brother was there to help. She indirectly told me to not go over until her brother leaves. I brought this up and she said why would I want my brother to know a random person's sleeping over? Same thing for when her parents decide to stop by and I'm at her place, I have to leave immediately. Is it a red flag or is it still too early?

First time Dad and my 15 month old keeps running up the stairs at my in-laws place and they keep encouraging it. Stairs are almost 10 inches high with nothing underneath and I’m worried that he might slip and fall in between the stairs. Every day of my life feels the same. The monotony of my job and taking care of the young kiddos is just the same over and over. Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

We recently sleep trained our 7 month son. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…

Debating when to have the first baby… would you say having a baby is totally worth it ? Worth all the struggles and sacrifices? Or should I wait an extra year just to save more money and enjoy life now without the extra sacrifices… (female 27 & want to have 2 kids)

Any parents who are still on the safe side with Covid? We have a 1 year old and being safe and staying mostly home is really getting to me. Most of our friends have kids who are able to mask up or are vaccinated and it’s getting quite isolating. Especially now mask mandates are being lifted feeling like we can’t go anywhere without risking our kid.

Have to fill out a form “bathroom waiver”, which is basically allowing teachers at the school to clean my child after a potty, including genital area.
