Baker! He sometimes brings work home, but it's just bread 😄
Hahah love this, please bring more work home 🥖
Blue collar. Took me so many years and all nighters to move up the totem pole enough to match what he makes. He works 4 days a week, has a flexible schedule and never brings work home. Its such a breath of fresh air and makes want to not bring work home either.
Same! I think the balance works well for us.
We also make almost exactly the same when you count the number of hours I work
Public servant. They help with so much domestic labor because they are done with work by 4pm. Appreciate them so much!
Mine works in finance. Our careers couldn’t be more different. I think I think life would be less interesting if I was married to another creative/ person in advertising, TBH (it works for many people, just didn’t want it for myself).
My husband and I both work long hours but respect and support each other in our careers. There’s more job security in his industry, which helps me feel more secure when it comes to family planning and taking time off.
Another perk: it’s nice to have a wide range of friends outside of our industry. Turns out other people in totally different fields are cool too (shocking, I know)
I totally get what you mean about having friends who don’t just work in advertising, especially living in a big city!
My husband runs a team of engineers at a startup. he has a pretty demanding job, and can empathize with my long/irregular hours, last minute work travel, and general unpredictability. I love that we talk about different things, have separate hobbies and interests and can learn from each other.
My husband runs a family office, and sometimes steps in as a CEO for acquisitions. Honestly sometimes it’s infuriating seeing how effective he can be and enact change so quickly to improve companies. Don’t get me wrong it’s super impressive and I’m so proud of him, but it’s just crazy when the typical agency structure I see day to day is like 10 people at the top having meetings about meetings to discuss the changes they may or may not enact at another meeting.
It really has me thinking about starting or acquiring my own agency, and with his career we’ll likely be able to make that happen one day.
Married my creative director.
👀👀👀 ooooh
I technically got married to my SO before I made it to the agency world but we both studied marketing and advertising. Now I work at an advertising agency in analytics and he works client side on all things web related. And now he shit talks all agencies since he’s the client side version of who I would interact with but all in good fun.

Partner is in Ad tech - which is sort of lame since work conversations follow us home often. I just want to check out when I close my laptop and completely disassociate. My partner is laser focused on work so they’re always talking about it. Snooze.
Bartender. We make it work with lots of communication, planning, and taking days off/extending holiday breaks so we can hang more.
High school teacher
Rising Star
Mine is a science teacher/special educator! I honestly love that his work is so different. His classroom’s problems really put mine in perspective 😅
Rising Star
He’s a general contractor
Mine is in HVAC
He works in sales but recently got an BS in software dev and an MBA so wants to move into that field as soon as he can find a job.
