Now Got an offer in Illumina
CTC offered: 20.2 lpa + 1.52 variable + 1.5 joining bonus + $10,000 in stocks
Considering the recent layoff of Illumina, is that a wise decision to switch there?

Sharing the update, HR contacted me and shared the offer letter. The process was indeed super slow(I gave the first round during November, last round December, and received an offer on Feb first week). However, I received the offer.

Hi even I attended the interview they asked for my payslips, Can you please share after how many day after sharing the pay slip they scheduled the discussion for you, Also the role you have been selected for
Lesson learnt keep giving interviews unless you join the organization as few companies are revoking the offer letters too...positions on hold is too common nowadays..Best wishes

Same happened with me..really upset it’s been almost a year I’ve been trying I was a bit relieved as I got to know I’ve been shortlisted but then again I was out on hold. Disappointment has grown within myself, rough phase negative thoughts bad time..can’t even share the same with the outside world.
Ugh I'm so sorry you went through that, thanks for sharing the company though. I hate when people feel the need to protect companies that did them wrong.
I haven't gone through that specifically but I have learned the hard way not to dismiss or put off other opportunities because there's another I like more that I want to focus on. Ive been burned a few times.
This happens in many companies, I had a similar experience with Hexware where they wasted 3 months with multiple rounds for architect position and later getting ghosted by the HR. Luckily the position is hold for you before you took the offer, in certain cases the position has closed after joining the company immediately and you will be moved to bench which is still risky

Same thing is happening to me. I have been waiting for reply from HR at Illumina for more than a month now. And, in SAP Labs, after clearing HR round, filling all the forms, sharing payslips, hike letter etc got to know that though received positive feedback, they are selection other applicant :(
I have given final/first tech interviews for few companies everyone is telling the same- not rejected,on hold as we need to evaluate other cand and confirm.

True, I have also faced the same situation few months back. Cleared all the rounds and wasted my 2 months, after final round the Hr of the company told me that we are still interviewing few more people as we don’t have the budget which you have asked.
Can you tell the HR name . I too gave interview for same company and got selected. I am not sure about the company if i should join. They gave me overall 40% hike which includes stock
