What was your bonus % this year?
My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)

You should at least go for M not to say SM. This is gonna be 2 levels down if you account the time you need to get your Visa sorted and move to the UK (3-6 months).
It will be difficult to get anything more than £55k if you’ve applied for a SC role - that’s at the top of the band. Have you done a budget to work out if you’ll be able to live off £55k? You may be better off waiting for a M role to come up and applying then.
Thank you guys
Yes 55k is top range for SC band because new M comes in at 62k w/car allowance
Is that including car allowance? I think so, the way I read it but just to confirm:)
Did you originally apply for an SC role or did they scale you down?
It depends on where you’ll be based. If outside London...say Birmingham, then 55k should be fine and hopefully you can climb to manager in a year or so.
How much are you paid now / will you be paid as SM in India? It would still be around 40k right? 55k in the UK is not enough at all for a family.
I’m a manager and I make 78 + car allowance. More specialized managers (I.e. quants) can make £90K +
Depends where in the UK and how badly you want to relocate. Are you willing to take a step down in seniority.
£55k for a family in London will be hard, elsewhere it would be fine.
You'll likely be spending 50-70% income on rent, travel, and bills depending on how willing you are to slum it.
It's going to be a struggle and you will be looking after the pennies until your wife can get a job.
Yes including
Edit: Hi folks, just heard back from HR today. Being offered an entry grade Manager role based on interview performance. They've just come with a figure. How water tight are these figures, is there wiggle room for negotiation?
