Rough times ahead at EY it seems. Probably all firms though.

Yeah, it seems like a tough time across the board, especially with all the uncertainty in the industry. It’s definitely not easy navigating through, but if things get rough, just remember there are always other opportunities out there. Stay proactive and keep your options open!

My group is ahead of plan. Enjoy your fear mongering. 👍

lol Absolutely baseless fear mongering and no proof besides “what I heard on the streets.” We aren’t doing any better or worse than any other big4 right now.

By the end of the second quarter we should know better whether government reductions will be permanent and what kind of ripple effect they will have on the private sector. Right now, buckle your seatbelts and prepare for some turbulence. Around June 1, prepare to bail out.

I have a second stage interview for a manager position tomorrow at EY and now I’m wondering if I should even bother if things are going south there too?!

Job interviews are like dates. You both come to the table trying to figure out if you are both good fits for each other. It's a mutual process. Go to the interview to learn more (or at least to get practice interviewing). You don't marry every person you date. You don't accept jobs at every place you interview.

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

I feel like I need a career coach because I am considering switching jobs but I don’t know where to go or where to start. I feel really overwhelmed and don’t know what I’m qualified for. And then always worried another job could be worse than the one I’m in now. Am I the only one like this? Where do you start? I can look at job postings and all but idk what I want to do long term.
