The book gets mercilessly made fun of after being mentioned in a Silicon Valley (the TV show), but it is actually really good - Radical Candor. It discusses striking the balance between brutal honesty and empathy in managing. I enjoyed it quite a bit and I think it is a great book to learn some additional managing tips. Most people in public either lean to the absolute brutal honesty or are afraid of confrontation. They could benefit from some "radical candor"
