Sr ASCs who left - I’m considering search and curious about what types of roles you got. Also did they overindex on the industry you worked most at McKinsey? I’ve done almost exclusively one industry that I really dislike (part of reason to leave), so I wanted to change.

Part of the reason I think I'm struggling to find a role is because I'm trying to get into a new industry. I find that my answers in interviews primarily pertain to the industry I came from so maybe I'm not effectively translating my skills to this different industry.

My resume has landed an ok amount initial interviews (4-5% hit rate), but I keep failing to convert to offers.

I got into the pre McK industry (5 years before mba and consulting, had been working in another country earlier), and I’d never done a study in that industry here at McKinsey
