Hello everyone,
First and foremost, happy holidays to you all.
Secondly, please remember that this is not a general purpose bowl, but one specifically built to spark discussions about topics related to Salesforce. This can mean many things related to the company and/or its products and partners, but what it is not is "any random thought which comes to mind from someone who works for Salesforce" for clout, nor a market research opportunity for non-contributors to gather data for free.
I (and I assume, others) have seen an uptick in irrelevant content posted to this bowl over the past few months. Unfortunately, as bowl leaders, the only tools in our tool belts are to temporarily block (2 - 30 days) or report the posts for removal. After multiple requests through DM's, and multiple requests to Fishbowl/Glassdoor to remove the offending posts without action being taken, after a fresh batch of such posts this morning, I made the decision to start issuing temporary bans of 48 hrs for the 2 users responsible for 99% of the posts. My hope is that this action, and this notice, will be the end of the issue, and allow us return to useful and relevant discussions about the world of Salesforce with no further intervention from me or anyone else.

There is a little bit of "I know it when I see it". I am not trying to be the off-topic police! But speaking of a burnout topic in particular, there is probably a Salesforce "flavor" of that - dealing with reactions to Marc's new shiny of the moment, 3 releases per year, consulting firms stressing cert accumulation, etc. For more generalized burnout with work, there are consulting, tech, etc bowls that are larger and more general purpose. For Salesforce employees, there is a Salesforce employee-only bowl.
I have never had to take this type of action before (in many years of doing this here), but the volume just got to be too much, and it was crowding out (and actually seemingly reducing the volume of) posts from others that were much more authentic and relevant to the bowl.

Also, what you find useful versus what others find useful differ. Sounds like you might be power tripping a bit.

These guys are definitely on power trip. Let them take their 2 mins of fame. There is process to replace them if they make this bowl this restrictive. I will post the process soon.
Is there a general bowl? I followed the SF page but it doesn't allow me to post. Is it for current employees only?
