Seems like the arguments on here are either for or against reopening the economy but every comment is just someone saying why each side won’t work, not offering any type of solution. Arguing to argue

It’s because no one actually does any research. They’re just looking at the information from media companies coming at them. Possibly just reading the headline.

Simple solution. Mobilise all resources and money to increase testing and making protection equipment like masks available to the public. Test most of the 300million Americans in next few weeks and then we will be back running like a rocket. Our federal government which is supposed to be controlling and distributing resources to the state is failing. The federal govt is initially in the dismissal mode, next defensive and then switched to denial mode. It’s a shit show in the white house. It can’t just focus on one much needed action. We have so much technology we can leverage and companies that are willing to offer support & $$$.

Seriously, who are worried about their prediction models at this point in time. Do the damn damage control properly. It is what it all matters rn

Kpmg 1 - agree with your statement, however what do you think of other doctors/professors who are in the infectious disease field (I believe one from Stanford?) who believes we can open the country. Seems like a lot of people in the same field as Fauci disagree with him

Fauci is not making decisions in a silo. He is consulting those experts in the field to make the best informed decision.

Here’s my opinion. Enable surveillance tracking. Mask, social distancing, etc. Let those who want to go out go. Any violation of these the defined metrics voids the access to governments tax payer funded healthcare. I’m not paying for someone else’s stupidity. Pay for your bad decisions yourself.

By far most of the arguments for keeping closed focus only on the economic loss of closure and not the loss of life due to the economic loss.

Honestly short of federal government injecting trillions into the economy and maybe an ubi program so people can actually have money in their pockets and spend as we expand testing this will keep on free falling because money is circulating less and less. Short of something super dramatic government action we probably gonna have 40MM unemployed in 2-3 weeks.

I can honestly see 75MM unemployed and legit riots and looting in big cities before any truly big thinking significant government action happens anyways.

She has been a star performer and promoted twice in the last 3 years. One problem is companies look for US experience which she does not have, we just moved here early this year.

China has implemented mandatory anal Covid tests for foreign visitors. This seems extremely woke, since anal tests are more accurate than nasal, and I think we should implement this back home in USA. Like for people who go to the store or gym, just a quick butt test to keep people safe. Thoughts?
