Nice
The article posted lists nothing about the strains. But it’s is commonly known there are a number of different strains, all with similar genomes and likely becoming less virulent. So far the evidence shows it is mostly stable.

Wow. You are doubling down on inaccurate sources. You should probably research your sources before posting them, they undermine your credibility.

I’m going to vehemently disagree with your assessment about lockdown being pointless.
Covid killed more people in March than many other commonly-regarded causes of death.
For example, in New York 870 died of heart disease in the first week of April whereas 5,226 died of Covid during that time.
In that same week, Covid was the #1 cause of death in Louisiana and Washington DC.
Lockdown very much is still necessary.

Agree with A1 and A2. CBIZ if you look at all the countries with the worst death rates, it’s mostly because they went over hospital capacity. So lockdown absolutely decreases total fatalities because once you run out of ventilators the death rate spikes up. And uhhh not sure how to convey this but your logic is faulty. Lockdown causes hospitals to not be at capacity. We can’t rely on hospital capacity to determine whether to lockdown because by then it’s too late due to the possibly long incubation period.
The number infected is estimated to be 10x higher than what’s been reported, making the fatality rate about .01%. There’s no point in staying in lockdown much longer

It’s the method that scientists and data analysts are using from Stanford and USC that’s driving public policy. Not some California wildflower that thinks her kids are going to have autism.
Source please

Wow. It just doesn’t end. Op finally found a reliable source but has to dig for an article from a month ago.

Lockdown will kill many times more than it saves. They’ll just be in third world countries. Outta sight, outta mind, amirite?

E4 - I am well aware of what is going on as I am from and still have family members in countries that will be effected by the famine. It’s not just a fake political play about showing concern, but thanks for your assumptions.
How many people are going to Afghanistan, Yemen, the DRC or South Sudan for vacation?
Could this possibly be a result of long term conflict?
Putting this solely on the Lockdowns in the West is an extreme over simplifications and is really naive.
The article you posted referenced local lockdowns in these countries. Are you prospering that they lift them?
Don’t make assumptions about people.

What does that have anything to do with your original post? How does this relate to “30 strains” and a vaccine?

Number of strains doesn’t matter if the mutations are small and the vaccine can target a common element across all of them.
Also mutations generally tend toward less harmful as asymptomatic allows it to spread easier.
