Sigh. Started using chatgpt to draft cover letters. I find it produces "flowery" language that does little more than compliments the employer. Since I started using it last week...landed 3 interviews. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of the technology but this is a little sad. Your thoughts?

I’ve started using it to and what’s depressing is at some point, it’s all just programs writing bullshit for other programs. It’s all so fake and pointless.

You can also write it in tones that would be appealing to a specific persona. So if you trained it to understand the recruiters work history and achievements (as described in a LI bio) that would produce copy that's received well.

Yes it is sad but pretty soon everyone will have to use it or miss out

You can also ask ChatGPT to rewrite it in a different tone (ie-"rewrite this in a more concise, direct, tone" etc)
