I went shopping the other day at a little boutique and was chatting with the sales woman about this. I told her I've almost gotten to this paralysis point with shopping bc I've built a capsule wardrobe and I hate seeing things sit in my closet not worn. She said its good to treat yourself to a few items that you know you might wear just for the season if it makes you happy. Strike a balance in buying high quality items that are capsule staples and treat yourself to a few seasonal pieces.
There's tremendous peace in being confident re-wearing items and not feeling like you need a new outfit for everything. And when its time to clear out items,I just donate my items. I dont have time to deal with poshmark or reselling its never simple. It hurts to put name brand items in the donation pile sometimes, but I always give it away with an intention that I hope whoever finds it will enjoy it and make incredible memories wearing it.

I’ve been getting into the mindset of trying to buy clothing that is good quality, sustainable, and will be staple pieces for a long time to come, regardless of price. In terms of getting rid of the old clothes, you could sell it on plenty of apps or donate!
Many people also rent their clothes!

I love having a capsule wardrobe and then using Rent the Runway to try trends and get nice dresses for events, currently using it for maternity clothing since this will probably be my last pregnancy and I don’t want to buy any to just wear them for a few months.
