I’ve been in industries that allegedly have greater cause (healthcare) but was eventually disappointed by the corporate bureaucracy and went to a cutting-edge tech company for intellectual stimulation. Still I struggle. Should I try public interest? Not that I don’t need the money but it’s hard to work when I am so detached and find it meaningless

I’m struggling. I left an agency I liked last year due to growth limitations and since then I’ve worked at 2 different agencies and can’t seem to find my footing. The first one seemed like a good fit at first but then it turned out to not be the best place for me so I left. At my current agency I feel super undervalued. Folks recently joined P in the tech consulting practice. One one of the calls I realized that we are not really selling solutions but mostly staff aug for clients. Is that really how P does business? Coming in from big 4 this was a surprise to me. Given that most D and MDs are homegrown, probably used to this way of business, however we are not selling solutions is a concern in my opinion. A recruiter reached out to me but couldn't answer my question about remote now or in the near future. It was very vague.
