Sometimes I wonder if these roles are worth the stress. I’m in biotech, and while I love the science and problem-solving, the constant urgency and pressure to deliver is wearing me down. The pay is decent, but not amazing considering the hours and emotional toll. Has anyone moved into a more relaxed technical job—maybe in government, academia, or something niche—and managed to maintain good compensation? Curious what kinds of roles offer a better work-life balance without a massive pay cut.

They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job
