Started a new job three months ago. Manager doesn’t give me clear instructions. I’ll write her suggestions in an email and execute her instructions and she’ll make comments on things that she never previously mentioned and tell me she doesn’t have time to teach me. Today she said “you’re taking a lot of time and it’s been three months” how am I meant to do well when you won’t tell me what to do? She’s now saying we need to have a proper discussion later

Recommend sitting down with her and figuring out her preferred communication style (written/verbal), frequency of updates she expects and further clarity on what “good performance” looks like and how she’ll measure it. Send her an agenda before each weekly 1x1 with a list of key priorities, questions, and areas you need her input on. You want to show her that you’re proactive and focused on your development.

What’s your role? Maybe try an informal chat in the kitchen, during coffee break & see what’s she got in mind for you. It seems like you both aren’t connecting

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

Hello! I’m from South Carolina and I was wondering if there was any media companies/ productions that are currently hiring PA’s or entry level workers fully remote? I would love to work in LA more than anything, but I can’t afford to move there which means I’ll just have to stick it out in South Carolina for some time. But unfortunately, South Carolina doesn’t have many opportunities in the media/entertainment industry. Any leads, tips, or advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi guys I am posting this again I have offer of almost same package from Accenture and IBM . Accenture offering is very slight more but that's not my key consideration. Which company is better in terms of job security, work life balance. That's the top most factor I am considering. Learning and project and latest niche technology is the other important factor after first 2 factors .

Hi everyone,

I am moving to London on Monday from another country.

I was just informed the earlier accommodation I made got messed up, I can't even begin to explain.

Can anyone please recommend a relatively cheap accommodation to me in London?.

Thank you so much.
