Starting to look into PE headhunters. I know that there are quite a few of them out there, but which ones have you guys had luck with/good experience with?

I’m in FDD… I know I signed up for this but there’s something about the anxiety that comes on a Friday knowing that we still didn’t get access to VDR .. and how that anxiety grows as you enter the long weekend knowing that access can happen at any minute (or not) and you have to tippy-toe on the idea of potentially cancelling on your memorial weekend plans. I know the unpredictability of our job but phew 😮‍💨

How many days does EY normally take to release an offer letter? I have been waiting from past 16 days

Is it a red flag to not use your current employer as a reference or would this not be noticed? I have other references I want to use who I think can better attest to my skills for the job but don’t want it to raise any questions.

I am in sixth year at a top firm in Toronto. I’m considering lateraling to another firm that does very similar work to what I’m currently doing, essentially because I strongly dislike the culture at my current firm. If you have lateraled for a culture-related issue, what do you wish you had asked before signing? Do you think there is a way to truly suss out culture before working somewhere? I have several law school classmates at this new firm so will obv ask them.

I want out of advertising. The highs are so high, but the lows are too low.
