Can’t decide between reporting + technical roles vs corporate accounting roles. Coming out of audit and I like both aspects. Has anyone tried both sides and have any insights? Does one of these have higher salary potential? Does corporate accounting give you a higher chance of reaching a controller position since you’re actually in the GL, whereas technical + reporting will probably have you in a specialized group in larger companies?

I am currently working as Branch Manager (scale-2 officer) in one of the leading public sector banks and have 5 yr experience in core banking. I am having 2.5 years experience in the IT sector on vision plus as a software engineer (before joining the bank). I have knowledge of core banking as well as good knowledge of banking tools like finacle, caps, imac etc. I want to switch to private financial institutions.

I have been overworked and overwhelmed at my current job for quite a while. This is my first position out of law school, small firm with large caseload, and in my second year of practice. I often think I should look for another opportunity elsewhere but I don't know that any other firms would give me the potential for growth and experience that I am getting here. What's everyone doing for Eid coming up?

How do you manage prayer and wudu in office/working hours while working in a non muslim country? I like keeping wudu, so end up making wudu every time i visit bathroom. But i am always scared some one would find me with a leg in sink and will give me a suspecious look 😂 Also, how do you manage offering prayer? I share office with a man, and can't find an empty room near me ( its all offices around me) ... then it gets really tricky to find place to offer prayer.
