How do you manage your money?

I only bring in a little over $2,600 a month. After paying all my expenses, I get to put away $500 a month in savings but don’t have much wiggle room for anything else, including going out money.

I’m very privileged to have a significant inheritance and zero debt of any kind. I really wonder how my peers who have student loans, car payments, and even children manage to pay their bills and live so comfortably. Please share if this is you!

Can someone give an idea of the CTC structure of Morgan Stanley? Whether PF is part of CTC or is it excluded? Also are there any joining and/or relocation bonus?

I have two referrals for a position that I’m trying to apply to, however only one of the employee referrals is showing “attached” to the application. I accepted both employee referrals and they both show under my google account, but for the specific job application (which hasn’t been submitted yet) that one referral just won’t show up!!

Isn't it annoying how no one ever notices all the hard work you put into your research? The countless hours you spend in the lab, library, or curled up on your couch researching—all of that dissolves into what can feel like obscurity.

I’ve been getting contacted by PE/VC recruiters lately but I don’t think I’m ready to leave consulting yet. I’d like to do another year before I pivot but don’t want to burn any bridges. Is there a way to communicate this to recruiters and have an opportunity in the future or am I chalked?

Are Coforge reviews fake on Glassdoor? Had a discussion with their HR today. He was telling Coforge is doubling in size and revenue in the next 2 years, we had the least attrition. 35/m sole earner for a family with 2 kids. Want a life insurance with a ~$2m payout (to cover nice funeral, mortgage, kids college, spending money for the wife until she finds husband no.2 etc). Should I go with term, permanent or one indexed to a fund? Also, should I get one policy or is there any advantage to taking out multiple?

When they lay people off, they often keep things quiet because it will "effect morale". But the firing itself is what effects morale. Being secretive about it undermines respect and harms morale more.

Rumors that an NYC-based PR company may be in the midst of organizing. They'd be the first in our industry, but still no advertising agencies yet!

Saying someone was let go because they didn’t fit into the company’s culture is a big red flag. It means your culture is not very accepting and that is a dangerous thing.

Humane hours would be nice. Also some parameters for weekend work. It either doesn’t happen or we are paid handsomely for it?

Imagine being the first agency to unionize. Imagine the press. For an industry that is so fueled by media attention, it would be a company's dream... wouldn't it?
