Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

If the current declines in sales hold through April it's going to get offloaded like mad when the numbers are released. If so, you'll likely see a bunch of litigation from investors and that'll only continue the slide.
Let's face it, the number of maga voters simping on Elon that can afford a Tesla simply aren't enough to replace those that are repulsed by what's going on.
If you think Tesla is just a car company you should not own the stock…
If you do own the stock, you better hope the other things will be much better than the cars
Yes! Tesla is best for long term buy!
I’m torn. On one hand, Tesla keeps pushing boundaries, and I don’t want to miss out on the long-term growth. On the other, the stock can swing 10% in a day for no reason, and that’s stressful. I might trim my position but not bail completely.
What technical boundaries are they pushing that differentiates them from other car makers? Is it their battery and charging infrastructure? Serious question as I don’t know much about EVs
At the current valuation, you are betting their autonomous driving, energy, AI and Optimus businesses will grow.
Personally just offloaded all my Tesla stock. I had bought it high several years ago and held onto it long enough to recover from the disastrous position it got into. The volatility is too much for me to handle
Tesla is not going away anytime soon. The answer here is same rule that applies to any stock. Is is overvalued? Wait for it to drop then buy. Is it undervalued? Buy in now. Any stock can return well it’s just all about price.
In teslas case I’d say you missed your window for exceptional long term returns so if it drops into 250s range again I’d say there’s your chance to buy
Lol if you think that’s a rollercoaster take a look at crypto 😂 most of my robinhood notifications are about eth dropping 30% in 24 hrs, or rising 15% in 24 hrs
In the near term will drop to 250. Optimus and energy are the future for the company. Its viability is based on those. Cars are over rated for the company. Walk any manufacturing floor and potential for Optimus is boundless. Question is can they deliver.
1. It’s hard to make cars;
2. It’s hard to make cars that don’t catch on fire;
3. It’s hard to make cars that don’t catch on fire or get recalled for other reasons; and
4. It’s really hard to make cars that don’t get recalled that you can sell at a profit.
Tesla can do 1 and 2. Maybe they can do 3. I seriously doubt they can do 4.
There are other issues. They don’t have the best automotive engineers. They spec parts that cost more than the other makers for no increase in performance. Kind of amateur hour. They rely on software fixes for their recalls. That is not a long term solution. People eat it up because they see the big legacy car makers lumber along and think Tesla has a new mousetrap. The big legacy makers lumber because big bets destroy auto companies. Just like governing actual people, it’s not that simple.
Seems like you invested too much. It will reach new all time highs within like a year. Two tops.
In the near term buy puts. Easy money til it goes to 250.
How many times have you gotten it wrong?
Long term = buy. Short term, it's been rough. Elon can be a wild card and a lot of people hate his politics.
With that said, Tesla has the highest margin of all major automakers (Ferrari is higher, but they aren't really a "major" brand). The market mistakenly views Tesla as just a car company but they have multiple revenue streams. Bots will be huge, charging network will continue grow, energy storage will continue to scale up, etc. Their crown jewel is AI and self-driving. Once they nail full-self-driving, the revenue scales far beyond Tesla (they are already in talks to lease this tech to other automakers). Outlook for the next 5-10yrs is bright in my opinion.
