Thinking about a small start-up in the UCaaS/video collaboration software space here in Canada. The video conferencing platform is already built and hosted here in Canada for data protection/sovereignty and has a rich feature set (same as Zoom and others) but am wondering if there is enough appeal in the Canadian market. Not looking to create the next Zoom, just looking to get a small piece of the pie and drive predictable and sustainable revenue. All insights and opinions are welcome.

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?

For all you Toronto transplants on here... what brought you to the city?

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?

New to Toronto, moved to the west end of town/ just past - in Etobicoke. Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar.
