I would wear it buttoned but unbutton it when you sit down for dinner. I would only wear it if you’re on the skinnier side. Your shirt should absolutely be tucked in
If you're lean, I'd say you can go with skinny dark jeans, untucked button down, and buttoned blazer. I'd probably go with trousers/chinos and leave the blazer unbuttoned if you're medium to large build.

Absolutely not. Double breasted looks much fancier than single breasted. Save the jeans and unbuttoned shirt with a blazer for a bar or concert

Interesting thread... double breasted blazers - does anyone wear these anymore? Particularly casually... Not seen one in years. Live west coast, from london and Dubai. Single breasted, well fitted with a single crap flap, Surely trumps double...
Unless it’s extremely well tailored and you are tall and skinny I think they just look... lumpy for lack of a better word
