Thoughts on these tariffs? Are they as scary and life ruining as the media is claiming or is this all much to do about nothing? I’m not an expert on finance or the economy so I honestly do not know what to think or how worried I should be.

Op, you don’t have look at “media claims”. Look at your own retirement accounts or your investment portfolio. You don’t have to be expert to see which direction your savings are trending. Would you enjoy a sustained decline and then zero growth for years and years, while price of everything goes up? Would you enjoy mass unemployment when the zero growth converts into contraction ?

This is the worst day since pandemic. Think about it, this is as bad as a global pandemic that only needed a vaccine to get back to normal. What is the vaccine here as it was created by politics?

Have a final round of interviews as a remote candidate for a team that mainly lives in NYC. Hiring manager said during first interview that my location / remote status doesn’t matter and he has no concerns with hiring remotely for the role.
