What kind of companies are offering these huge stock sign on bonuses and lower salaries?
My predicament: 90% confident in receiving an offer from both, but option A would most likely move 3 weeks faster than option B. But option A being a lot higher compensation potential.
Currently I’m around 7-8 yoe and was at 125k base with 10-20% cash and stock bonus yearly.
I should’ve added: was let go during non performance based role eliminations so I will be without a paycheck shortly and would rather not go too long without one. While I’m extremely confident in an offer from option A (they’ve loved me so far and have always immediately asked me when I can do the next interview) there of course is always possibility option B falls through.
I would not put unlimited PTO in the pros column. It's not all that it seems to be. There's a different mindset about using it. And if you leave the company or are displaced, there is nothing paid out from accrued PTO - because unlimited is not accrued, it's just there to use when you want.
As for work location - 100% remote is a gift (to me). The freedom of schedule and $$ savings is huge.
