Today I got thrown under the bus by someone who I thought was my friend in the company. That too infront of contractors. How would you respond to him moving forward?

Any suggestions please

I am losing sleep over it

It depends. If it’s someone you want to salvage a relationship with you could try a heart to heart and pull them aside and let them know you felt what they did was unprofessional and also caught you off guard.

If you don’t care to salvage it, be the bigger person and take note and just distance yourself from them. Treat them kindly as a coworker but nothing more. They’ll get the hint that they’re dead to you.

At the end of the day, nobody at work is really your friend. I hate to say it, but after years of being thrown under the bus, I realized it really is every person for themselves. I’d be cautious around that person moving forward, as it’s clearly not someone you can trust.

Also, anything using my MBA would be favored as well, this degree is not healthcare specific. Thank you!
