It will never be the same again

Who remembers this?

Gotta say I LOL’d at this.

I’m think only we can appreciate this thought.

I’m not sure what this graph is really saying. Is it inflation adjusted?
Guessing it’s purchasing power - recently looked at some online calculators that adjusted wages from past years to the present. You can also find median income. I calculated that my grandfather’s business produced the equivalent of $2.5M in purchasing power annually in the 1930’s during the Depression. Get this, he butchered and sold roasted pigs!
With his profits he bought rental properties and eventually sold his meat market. He also took the whole fam and spent a year living abroad…
No but you should look in relevant dollars as no generation in history from a pure purchasing power or overall dollars have ever been paid even 40% of what millenials and Gen Z are getting.
They are staggeringly well paid far younger than any generations in the history of the world
My grandparents (now passed away) bought their home in HI for $1200. Today I doubt you could touch a SFH for less than $1M in the area.
In the 1950’s my FIL bought 40 acres in MI at less than $10 an acre. Today the hunting property - still no power nor septic - is worth over $100K.
Now run salaries for millenials and Gen Z vs previous generations, interest rates are still be,ow historical norms and these are by far the best paid 2 generations in history with staggering buying power
