I check it mostly to delete stuff I don't need so it doesn't pile up for me to deal with later.
same here
I do, to keep an eye on what's happening and delete what I don't need.
I think of it like mowing the lawn; the shorter I keep it, the easier it is to deal with.

Check it. I challenged all my students to read a book—any book—for 20 minutes a day this summer and to write me about it. I’m still waiting…
😂😏😝
I check it once a day so I don’t have a million and three to wade through

I screen over the summer. I’m a class advisor and there are some things I have to take care of over the summer due to submission deadlines that often change on a whim.
I delete the app on my phone, but I do check it occasionally when I am sitting at the computer. I also don’t want to deal with all the junk to delete later either.
Check it mostly to delete any spam. Don't want to return to 900 unread email.
I check it, which led me to working 4 hours a day twice a week for 5 weeks position at the middle school. The extra income will be helpful.
I check it. Sometimes I have students that need letters of recommendation. I also follow some coding groups from my school email that I use for math activities, and they’re pretty active over the summer.
Yes. My AP students are completing their summer assignments, so I need to check to see if they have questions. I also run several extra curricular activities, and we do planning over the summer to get ready for the fall.
I do as I hate for the emails to stack up.
I check it weekly just to clean out the crap and make sure my admin has inadvertently sent something out that’s “high priority” - despite us being told to “forget about email all summer…you are on break.”
We have to informally agree to check our school emails once a week. I have it connected to my phone, so I do end up reading the emails I get.
Yep! It’s on my phone 😊
I check emails to delete and see if it’s anything important I must respond too, that’s how the district communicates.
I check it because I’m working summer school.
Which is fine, it’s SAT Prep, virtually just two hours a week in Teams & I create a video for the third day, plus prep for it all. Then 2 days in person the 4th week of July, and I’ll still have a month off before we go back to school.
I also check email just to delete junk and to know what I’m ignoring. No emails receive a response from me until I’m officially back on the clock.
We go back to school during the last week of June so I have to set my boundaries to protect what limited time I have to detox from the stress.
I love the line “to know what I am ignoring “. 😂
I check it. I have PD webinars, and I want to know if there are any changes to be aware of before heading back.
check it.
HaHaaaaaaaaaaaa 🤣🤣🤣. I will read my emails, but I do not respond under ANY circumstances; I have a rule that I leave with the secretary: Unless someone that I LIKE is dead, do NOT call me.
