Switched from tech consulting into PE, but I’m struggling to catch up on the accounting & modeling mechanics. Any advice for how to get better? Just time and practice?

Fully regret completing my MBA at a non target even tho I got into some M7s, mainly for ego reasons. Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).

How can you gauge whether a LMM pe shop with limited past employees has a good culture or not? I’m interviews with a few but feel like I have no clue if itll be sweaty, chill, etc. What questions can I ask to get insight into this?
