Looking for advice on tips and tricks for landing PE MBA internship, coming from consulting. What were the game changers for you?

I am a UX designer who has completed a Google certification program along with a resume and professional portfolio. However, I’ve struggled to find a job (remote). Any advice or resources I could use? Or are there any employers currently hiring and are interested? I’d be happy to hear from you.

Does anyone know of recruiting firms with a focus on Anti-money laundering? I’m foreign educated and newly admitted NY attorney with CAMS certification but living in Miami lol. I’m here, because my husband practices in SoFlo. Any recommendations? I don’t have any experience but have CAMS.

What are realistic expectations for 3rd Year Analyst / Direct Promote Associate bonus range at a BB? Note that at MS, 2nd year bonuses in my group last year were 90-115K, while MBA associates received a pro-rated 90K stub (~40k). Personally would be pretty unhappy to take a pay cut between 2nd and 3rd year…

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). Do I try to stick it out at the firm while getting the masters, ask for a reduced hours schedule, or get a part time, non-legal job so I can focus more on the program (one year).

Does mba help in pivoting to consulting? I want to learn more about business + do strategy work and I’m not sure if I’m getting that in tech. Undergrad major was econ and was very theoretical (didn’t learn anything about business). Have done interviews with all MBBs in the past but either didn’t pass assessment stage or didn’t make it pass the case interviews. Feedback was that I need to improve business judgement for case interviews.

Is it possible for me to learn new technology and switch. Recently acquired AWS cloud practitioner certification which is of no use to me now as they are asking for exp. I wanted to move to devops role. But without experience no one is giving opportunity and they are considering my profile as QA only 😒

I’m a new analyst at a PE firm, and my associate keeps blaming me for things she does wrong. Like she will tell me I made the wrong change, even though she is the one who changed it. Or in calls with other people, she won’t take responsibility for things that she told me to do that the other person calls out as wrong.
