Agreed but when I find out lazy coworkers make more than me it makes me want to quit
Rising Star
lol that is also a fair point but wouldnt you want to know anyway?
It could be a problem especially if there are two in the same or similar positions and you get more because you were hired with more experienced
Rising Star
I can possibly see that happening.

I think discussions about salary can be tricky. They might lead to conflict, especially if you discover that a colleague in the same role and with similar experience is earning more.

absolutely but that is exactly why we challenge the system to understand the discrepancy
I agree with you! If one of my friends wasn't honest abaout how much money she was making in her industry, I never would have known what was out there for me. I think we should all be talking about our salaries.

It can make people feel bad so i try to avoid talking about pay.
Heck, I agree with what you have stated; but that ain't the reality. And we won't even talk about the interview process. Heck, why not post the salary range on the ad vs wasting everybody's time. Geesh.

I completely agree! Talking about salary is important. It helps everyone understand their worth and make informed decisions. Transparency can lead to fairer pay across the board. It shouldn’t be a taboo topic at all!
We don’t discuss salary
The truth of the matter is that, ideally, it would be okay, but there are haters among you! I keep my personal business personal, encompassing what I make hourly/yearly.
