Hello, I'm looking at a position within Paypal. My question, what is the work life balance, expectation for office (hybrid/remote/other) and is the pay comparable to other companies? Hey heads up: you're not average. Most people in your shoes would just blame the market and keep doing the same old thing. The fact you're introspecting about how you can add skills and fill gaps means you're far ahead of the game. Don't have any specific recs for you, just keep going, continue thinking about ways to strengthen your resume and you'll get an offer soon enough.
It wasn't the right fit for you. Don't beat yourself up, you can't win them all. Remain confident in your abilities and your experience. You'll find a good role that's a better fit for you. Good luck my friend.
These things are always a competition, and in this job market it's tougher than ever. You may have done well in the interviews and someone else may have done a little better. I saw someone compare situations like that to races in the Olympics where somebody wins by some tiny fraction of a second. You need to be at the top of your game, and you seem to realize that, so you'll get into an interview and nail it. Stay persistent.
