I’m changing jobs, new company sponsors my work. visa, 2ish years to go for an ILR.

What documents should I request from my old employer before leaving? Are there any documents needed from my employer for ILR application?

Travel during H1B visa transfer. I'm switching jobs and I want to go to India before I start my new job. Wondering if H1B visa transfer can cause any pain because I'm out of country. Am I likely to need a new stamp?

Team. I have a valid visa stamp till Dec 2019 with EY. However I moved to PwC couple of months back. If I travel to India in December, do I need to go for stamping again or will my I797 suffice at the port of entry ??

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?

Anybody with a priority date of mid-late 2015 that is considering switching jobs? I have an offer that I was about to sign, but saw that priority dates for filing in EB2 are already at sep 2014 this April. That makes me wonder if i could either miss my window or worse if the date becomes current while my new employer is still doing PERM. Anyone else faced this situation in the past or looked at it more deeply? Recommendations for good lawyers for advice also appreciated.

Is there a way of bypassing the H1B lottery? I was told by an external recruiter that if I joined their London team, after a year I could go through H1B process without the lottery. My preference is to remain with Deloitte and transfer - can Deloitte put me through without the lottery? Are there stipulations such as minimum tenure or degree types etc?

Any firms or companies hiring now that don’t take forever with their green card process? My H1B ends in September 2024 and EY is not making meaningful progress on my perm process. Looking for roles that require really strong financial modeling and analytics skills.

Hoping to make the switch from London to the US, I’m a UK citizen. Seems most companies are stating that they won’t sponsor visas in their job postings. My wife is on H4, how do I go about her immigration requirements? Does she need a transfer or amendment on current visa once I get my visa transferred?

Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Its been months and DOL is working on requests from Jan’22. My H1B expires for good in Oct’23 (with all the recapture). Is there any chance I’ll have my PERM completed by then?
