Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Hey AD, what you’re describing is my philosophy too. I like to keep a constant gauge on how I’m feeling / what’s happening in my life so sometimes that means I’ll be open to booking 40hr weeks back to back and sometimes it means I’m not.
To help temper and control the demand, I say I’m booked one day a week on a retainer client or that I’m booked next week by another client, and if I want to work it closer to then, I circle back and say the booking fell through. Helps give me control of my schedule so I don’t fall into feeling like a full timer again.
This is super helpful actually! Now to get the demand higher 😝
I dont know if I understand the question, 40hrs is a standard work week? It’s what you should be booking with one company. It’s a super doable 9-5 if not less (but bill them for the full day always).
You usually don't get vacations during work periods. If you care about balance then book shorter gigs. I'm taking August off this year because Americas work culture is nuts.
You book what you want and need. 40/hrs week for 2 months, then take a month off.
