What advice would you give someone who is consistently making it to final round interviews, but not landing the role? And what do you think is happening behind the scenes from a hiring manager perspective? It's disheartening to be rejected!

Need advice - I've been talking to a Partner contact at a big-4 firm where I REALLY want to work. She sent my info to the managing partner in my city, but I haven't heard anything for about 3 weeks. Been playing it cool because I know these things can take time, BUT, I just got let go from my current firm. I have til 12/15 to find a new job.

Do I tell her my timeline is now a month, or is telling them I'm getting fired going to tank my chances of getting the job?

Planning a 10-12 day trip late April / early May. We are looking to spend 3-4 days in a region of Italy and we can’t decide between Cinque Terre and the Amalfi coast. We have the rest of the trip pretty much planned out but are up in the air with these two options. Open to any Pros / Cons or experiences you’ve had!

I’ve been unsustainably swamped for months. Partner said they wanted to add an additional, more senior associate to the team on one massive case that went from “stayed” to “on fire” in the span of a month. I said that sounded awesome and the thought of someone else having to take on some responsibilities was such a relief… so why do I feel competitive and threatened now that the senior associate has actually been added? 🙄
