Typically not. But check the offer letter.

The idea of clawback for a signing bonus if you leave is due to the fact that they don’t want you to take the money and run. If you are terminated, you haven’t taken the money and run, so clawback would be very unusual, and I’d think would only happen if you did something so egregious that it was like you wanted them to fire you.

I’d assume no clawback then.
Hmmmmm. If they gave you a pile of money with no letter, doesn’t that mean you get to keep it no matter what? At my firm, we are very clear (in writing) about when we can clawback money.
the only way they could do it is to deduct it from your last paycheck, if your signing bonus is larger than that, there is just no practical way for them to claw back unless they are willing to take you to court/arbitration.
Probably would get rolled into severance
