I dont know why they came back but someone at my firm did after 5-7 years of solo practice. I think she did go solo for family reasons and when her kids were grown she returned to the team she was working with before (but at a different firm). International arbitration, came back as counsel

I'm trying to choose between IBM Corporate Strategy and Innosight. I like both opportunities. Innosight pays more, but I've never had a big brand like IBM on my resume. Additionally, I'm worried whether Innosight's exit opportunities are slimmer than IBM. Would anyone have some advice on what I should pick / how I should think about this?

Both will be relatively equal pay, good companies, WLB, etc. I know the bird in hand saying…

I’m currently a 2nd year associate in commercial finance. I’ve realized I don’t enjoy a a strictly transactional practice. I enjoyed litigation matters as a summer (particularly the adversarial nature). Also, love talking and advising clients. I don’t want the litigation lifestyle and appreciate the in-house opportunities of transactional. Assuming that I could switch (or lateral), I’m thinking I may enjoy employment (and the ability to defend and train/advise). I appreciate any insight.

When a mid level works with a junior, should the junior send the final product to the partner or the mid level? I am a mid level now, but I started as a junior as part of a growing practice group. At the time, there weren’t many associates in our group, so I always worked with the partners directly. Now we have juniors in our group, but I’m not sure about certain process points (such as the e-mail question), so I appreciate thoughts on this!
