Happy Veterans Day to all who have served, to all who are serving and their families. There is no greater sacrifice in that of serving your country. God bless the men and women of the United States military #GodAndCountry.

I cannot express enough gratitude to those who have served and are serving our country. It is because of your sacrifice that we are able to enjoy the freedoms we have today. I hope you all have a happy Veterans Day and know that your efforts are truly appreciated.

Veterans Day is a time to remember all those who have served, and to thank them for their service. It's a day to reflect on the sacrifices that they have made, and to honor their heroism and patriotism. We owe our veterans a debt of gratitude that we can never fully repay.

Thank you, veterans, for your service and sacrifice. There are some veterans in my family and they've always been an inspiration to me. We are forever in their debt. God bless them all!

For expert witnesses/lawyers

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

Hiii sorry if this is a stupid question, but does the incidental credit / hotel credit renew every calendar year, regardless of how long you’ve had the card? Ie if I open now, use the 200$ in 2022, do I get it again 1/1/23? I know the website says calendar but idk it feels like I’m cheating hahaha

Unable to decide to leave my current company. They are actively blocking my growth and I got an offer for a title promotion, but a significant pay cut. The new job offers $100k, 26 days pto, hybrid 2/3 remote, 37.5 hours a week. My current job (7yrs) offers $102k, 42 days pto, office optional 35 hrs a week. With the new job being in CT, the increase in taxes, 3x increase in insurance premium, and travel to and from, I am looking at $700 a month pay cut. Is career advancement worth $700 a month?

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this in their market?

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? It seems like the larger chain stores would have more downtime, but I'm wondering if anyone could give some input.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?
