What is some advice or strategies for employees growing in their job positions that have made a success?

I am close to joining a Cannibas focused company and was wondering if anyone does consulting for one and if there are any key things you would think I would find helpful other than don’t use all the inventory up for personal use.

Anyone working or know about the company ‘TietoEvry’. A friend of mine got an interview call and wanted to know about company culture and pay range etc.

Is it a red flag when a recruiter talks about unrealistic benefits like getting a chance to fly to another state just to visit the client HQ all expense-free? Or is it really a thing? Let me know if you have experience like this.

Been doing privacy for about a year now in-house. Got my CIPP/US.
Having major imposter syndrome still. I feel like the minute I finally have a grasp, something changes. The law and nuances just seem overwhelming. Maybe it’s just a lack of guidance/uniformity in the US. I’m not sure if I feel this way because it is simply the nature of the work or because I’m just not capable.

Advice & resources? My spouse and I are starting to make good money (ages 28 & 31, $105k & $70k) with $10k in savings (we were hit hard financially this year) and 2 car payments.

We live in a cheap apartment ($1.3k) that is sh*tty. Don’t quite have a down payment (especially not in ATX). Is it dumb to rent a house for a year at $3k/month while we save up again?

We both didn’t come from $ and are figuring out how to not be idiots 🙃 tbh we would prefer to rent forever but that feels dumb???
