What is the best advice you’ve heard or lessons you’ve learned from the past year that you’re going to take into 2026 to help yourself?

I’m sitting here a little bummed out. I don’t think I have any new words of wisdom or insights I’m taking with me to 2026. I think I’m just dragging the same old baggage from 2025 into the new year. Do you have any words of wisdom you’d like to share with us?

The best lesson I am carrying forward is to stop waiting for permission. If something matters to me, I raise it early instead of hoping it resolves itself.

DE&I is now a core leadership competency. If you are managing diverse talent, it’s important to understand what the term “privilege” means within a DE&I context so you can lead your team to higher levels of inclusivity+develop optimal strategies for solutioning around team issues/challenges. Everyone has some aspect of privilege depending upon the context. Privilege means the absence of obstacles/barriers, not necessarily the presence of perks. Though some would say *that* itself is a perk.

Desi folks , do you really regret your marriage ? What is that annoys you most ?

My anxiety has been at bay after changing my job and just feeling like I HAVE control over my life. But now it's back because I feel like I'm behind in other aspects of my life (I.e dating). I have so many friends getting engaged and I just feel... anxious since I am SO single. I'm 27, and I know I'm at that age where people do but it just sucks. I've been on the apps too and it's just... more demotivating honestly than anything else

TikTok or Cepheid Biotech
Hey guys, I need to make a decision today on whether I want to start a career as a Talent Sourcer at TikTok or as a Onboarding Specialist at Cepheid, a Biotechnology company. Both in the Bay Area at $35 per hour and both are currently WFH. The TikTok position is less stable and very numbers driven, while the Onboarding position is more “secure” but less exciting. I am overthinking the fact that I would need to be presenting orientations for hours a day, and could be shy

If buy the partners you work with regularly a holiday gift, how much do you spend? Usually I get baked goods or food items which you can’t tell the actual amount spent on. This year, though, I’d like to support local restaurants by encouraging people to order takeout—hence, giving gift cards.

How much is appropriate for a restaurant gift card from an associate to a partner?

Just finishing my first week in as an audit intern and genuinely I have no idea what I'm doing or even a general idea of the audit process. The senior associate left the engagement last week so it's just me and an associate, and they don't have time to give me instruction.

Am I stupid or did the e-learns not prepare me for any of this? The training told me I'd be auditing cash but I haven't even touched a bank reconciliation.
