Hi. I have stayed in same service based company for 4.5years and my current package after appraisal is 18LPA. I want to switch to a product based company as i am feeling stuck here. I stayed here for so long because of work life balance and a lot of dependency was created on me. Any suggestions? Am I in trouble for staying here for so long? What are your strategies for completing work efficiently? How do you figure out how long projects should take? A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.

Anyone else have days where it seems like your meds just don’t work? What do you do to offset those? This week has been a struggle.

I am on stage 4 of the hiring process for a job as a Sr Art Director for a CPG brand. I was given a project to develop a product launch. The directions are vague. There are so many ways I could take the project but I’m curious what kind of outline and level of depth you expect from a project like this? I was planning on doing research separately & share so they can see what I normally do, and then a deck showing visuals, mood boards, and messaging ideas etc. Does that seem right?

After trying to make the shift from agency to in house for years, I just got offered a full-time digital marketing manager role at a tech company in the Bay Area! In researching salaries, the range seems huge in the Bay. Any advice on how to determine a reasonable number to bring to the table?

What’s your take on working along side a team in marketing but barely any of your team enjoy the social present, let alone having actual social accounts. I’m totally respect people who want to keep their personal life private, but not knowing what the hell is trending while holding a role that deal with social media contracts everyday and giving others opinions, that’s what I’ll have problem with. Thoughts?
