Anyone else get ghosted by the recruiter at DoorDash? I applied for a position beginning of November. The recruiter reached out saying she thinks I’d be more suitable for another role and I said yes. Then crickets. I emailed her a week ago to follow up. Nothing? Why are recruiters ghosting candidates? And why is this behavior ok?

Just had an interview with Plaid yesterday. The hiring manager said she was going to have me speak with another one of her colleagues, as well as complete a take home assignment. Told an intern at my firm in a different group that reached out to try and join my team that he should be prepared to work 60-70 hours. He smugly laughed and said everyone he knows at our firm works that many hours (we are a B4 and it’s certainly not the case). Then he proceeded to tell me he leads a 10 person workstream.
