I feel like the only post consulting options are an MBA or a job in tech. Isn't there something else?
When you pick up an MBA candidate who is recruiting for your firm. Hmm what was that compliance training again?
Anyone get into Kellogg MBA? Any tips on how to prepare in the final year before applying?
has anybody taken the GRE instead of the GMAT for an MBA program? recently I've been looking into this more because I'm less confident in my math skills
Is it true consulting firms care about your GMAT score? Talking about firms recruiting MBA summer associates of course. I managed to get into a top 10 b-school with low GMAT but will it haunt me?
What is the oldest you want to be starting an MBA? I am thinking about starting in 2018 when I turn 29. Thoughts?
Been at a top 3 firm for 4 months now post-MBA. Non traditional background and constantly feel like I'm behind and never going to catch up. Is quitting after a year the most terrible thing to do?
Ladies, need interview suit recommendations for a non-vanity-sizing size 4. MBA interviews coming up and I haven't worn a suit since interviews during college...thanks in advance!
Worked over 40 hours already and it's only Wednesday and I should be tired but my last CPA exam scores are being released tomorrow.... #sotiredbutsoawake
Have a friend at Accenture who started last July post M7 MBA...still has not been staffed. Is this a firm wide issue over there?
Failed my CPA exam again I took four of them in past year and a new one this year all failed, 1-5 scores to pass, fishbowl advise me if there is any other certification, just hate CPA.
Consulting firms should just kick everyone out without an MBA -- be more like MBB. Also, shitty, peasant MBAs are out too.
Cancelled flights, 2-city week, major deliverable due, and MBA final exams this weekend. Anyone else ready for next week?
Does everyone at Deloitte get MBA sponsorship?
Fellow Desis - Do you still hold importance to caste? Especially when it comes down to your/your kids marriage?
23 y/o Recent MIS graduate Hello I’m looking for some tips on where to apply for consulting/entry-level roles in the Dallas area. I graduated May 2020 with my degree in MIS and have been working as a teller since. Also I’m interested in what areas of IT I should focus on building skills in. I appreciate all tips and advice! I’m a few months into my search at this point and I need a new strategy. (I’ve done a bulk of leg work already searching on job sites, revising resume, interview prep)
How is the staffing situation in your office? People are dropping like flies at all levels.
Are we in a wealth building time period? I have all this anxiety because I feel like everyone is making money off crypto, housing prices in the last year have exploded, stocks and SPY are at all time high and meanwhile I blew up my account and I’m down $10K for the year. I’m so depressed and feel that life is passing me by while I’m sitting on the sidelines. I don’t have anyone in my life who understands how I feel. Everyone is risk averse. My freaking barber is more successful than me.
The tweet is a little flagrant but I think it's a solid analogy. As I saw some people bring up though, remote work actually gives a loophole allowing access to cheaper cross border labor without visa., So a visa ban might be totally fruitless... thoughts?
First official day as a partner. Hello there!
Someone from my workout studio chatted me up; at some point I agreed to grab coffee post-session. He then continued sending real long texts over the holidays. I chose to ignore & saw this in my inbox
Has anybody gotten business solely from someone following your blog, twitter posts, and/or Facebook pages?
I’m bored. Anyone care to share some work confessions? I’ll go first: I used to be bullied by an old manager, I couldn’t understand why manager hated me so much. Well, after my secret fling with a client, I found out client and manager also hooked up way before I joined the agency. Status calls were fun! I’ve since moved agencies, client and I remain friends, manager disappeared mid-PIP
I've finally made it out of insurance defense and it still doesn't feel real. Spent nearly two years trying to get out and my mental and physical health took a really hard hit. Finally get to start practicing L&E which has been my dream. Truly thought I'd spent the rest of my life miserable in ID.
Divorced 🐠, what happened?
Can we use this post to reply our YOE, Technology/vertical, Level, and Current CTC. ( An internal and transparent survey, this is gonna be). We will know exactly where are we in comparison with our peers? Will start with mine.
Ah yes, let me crush on this coworker of mine
Where does one go to get sunglasses repaired? The hinge on my favorite pair broke so I just need a replacement. Do I go to like a shoe / bag repair store? TIA!
Finally hit the 100k Mark at 26YO! Peanuts compared to the millions I see people posting but I’m proud of it. Come a long way from being on free/reduced lunch as a kid in school, not a penny to my name at 18. Took out student loans and worked through college, squeezed a masters degree in there while working too. Long way to go from here, onward and upwards!
