I’m 62, figure retire at 65 for Medicare, but wait till 67 for SS, or just work till 67.

I’m aiming for 50, but yeah. I’ve seen so many women adjust that timeline around caregiving, not savings. It’s wild how much the system still assumes we’ll make those sacrifices. Early retirement isn’t just about cash, it’s about building a life that gives you choices.

I’ve definitely seen a shift in the system with more men taking on the caregiver role, but yeah.,, the weight is still mostly on women
I would love to be able to retire early in my 50s or 60s. However, I have way way way way way too much student loan debt for that. Right now I’m tracking to retire at 75 or sometime after it’s very depressing.
65 so I get Medicare (hopefully). I plan to live off my savings and take SS (if it still exists) at 70.
